Today I went to an endodontist, Dr. Harish Lala and had part 2 of my root canal done. Sally's dentist, Dr. Young, saw me when I arrived on Monday, did the initial work of relieving the pressure and pain then referred me to Dr. Lala. When I told Sally she was thrilled. She told me that Dr. Lala is THE BEST endodontist. In addition, she said that he's good looking and has a wonderful personality. She said that I would really enjoy the experience.
Well, she really piqued my interest and I was almost looking forward to the root canal - boy I thought I'd never say that! Anyway, Dr. Lala was as wonderful as Sally said - very gentle, caring, upbeat and funny and he knows his stuff. So, the major part of the root canal was done today. I'm in pain again tonight but that's to be expected and I should feel better tomorrow (Thursday). I have to go back to him on Monday for the final visit and we'll plan on returning to Fiji the middle of next week.
Hope this episode is history soon. In any case, I guess we have to take the good with the bad. Thinking of you all the way up here in AK.
