After last week's devastating tsunami caused damage to several of our planned stops going northbound, we took a long, hard look at the trip north and decided to pursue putting Warm Rain on a truck to get her back to Washington. We were lucky enough to get several recommendations for the same shipping company - Dudley Transport - and contacted them. They were thrilled to hear from us as they had a delivery to make in San Diego at the end of this week and didn't have a load going northbound and they made us a screaming deal. On Tuesday we went into a local boatyard and have been working like demons for the past 3 days prepping the boat. Warm Rain goes onto the truck tomorrow (Fri.) morning and will be delivered to Bellingham on Monday - woohoo!
We're thrilled about not having to bash north in the boat and don't mind one bit being called wimps.
WIMPS!!

... I think any decision you two make is based on the experience to trust your guts! Not wimping!
Sounds as you are very ready to be back home!
Sorry to miss you in Mx. as we are heading south later this year.
Dudley is the best trucking Co. .... wish we had them!!!
We know of other boat who used them .... receiving their vessel with road trip pix and in fine shape!
